This year marks the return of Nokia to the Android world and it was warmly received, with the Chinese variation of the Nokia 6 selling out in just one minute after its January 19th launch. Joining Nokia’s Android-device lineup appears to be a huge 18.4-inch tablet running Android 7.0 Nougat that was spotted after being benchmarked on GFXBench.
The operating system is listed as “Android FIH Edition” with FIH Mobile being the company that has the rights to the Nokia brand. This would largely indicate that the device – if it ever sees the light of day – will be Nokia branded.
The juggernaut of a tablet was benchmarked with some equally beasty specs, featuring a 1440p display and front and rear 12-megapixel cameras capable of UHD (4K) video recording. Some of the other notable specs include:
- 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 835 SoC
- Android 7.0 Nougat
- 64 GB internal memory
- 4 GB RAM
- 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Compass, NFC
The full list of specs spotted on GFXBench can be found on the image above.
Based on the connectivity that is available in the device, Nokia is clearly expecting people to be lugging this one around to wherever they might plan on going.
